Dump and Donate Services
November 12th, 2018 by Kyle WarmingtonWe work with a relocation company called Home Sweet Home to help people who are moving. We are contracted to come and take all the “dump and donate” items. Usually the moving company has already been through and taken all their furniture and personal items. We then come and take what is left. I like to say we are often the last train out of their house so whatever they need gone we take it with us and help get rid of it.
We showed up to a house in Whitehall recently and they were actually prepping to sell their house so the moving company had not been there yet. They were very motivated to get rid of stuff. We filled the trailer with an entire load of donation items which is very common. We dropped them at Goodwill and Habitat for Humanity’s Restore. Then we returned to their house for round two. To our surprise this family filled our trailer top to bottom and front to back with stuff that needed to go to the dump. It was wild! I have never hauled so much junk in one trip. We went to the Coopersville dump on our way back and pitched all that trash. The dump told us it was 2,620 lbs we unloaded. Wow!!!!
We certainly all accumulate a lot of stuff.
